Working as a model is a dream for many: traveling, parading on the catwalks all over the world, wearing clothes that few others can wear, attending environments that only a few can frequent. Surely the modeling job is attractive and, despite the many difficulties to make a career, there are still many and many who try to pursue the dream.
Although a model CV usually follows a model prepared by the various modeling agencies, to get started and be considered by one of these agencies it is good to have a generic CV that contains all relevant information. A good model CV is a summary of what you have done and what you can do, your experiences and also your knowledge: it is an introductory document which can be followed by other documents to provide, but which lays the foundations for the start of an employment relationship with an agency.
Personal data
The section containing the personal data is essential and it must be as detailed as possible. In fact, very often talent scouts or agencies look first and foremost to the personal data part if they are looking for specific profiles. The photo is essential in a model CV, so it must always be added.

Professional experience
The part dedicated to professional experience is essential for a model. This is where the campaigns in which one took part must be inserted, specifying the brand and the role; since this is one of the first things a talent scout goes to look at, it is also good to specify where the campaign was published, reserving the right to provide proof of it at a later time.

Physical characteristics
In the Other section of your CV, don’t forget to enter your weight, height, eye color and hair color. For many models, in fact, the talent scouts look for specific figures with specific characteristics: you don’t have to go into detail, just enter the basic information that you can then deepen later.

Foreign languages
Knowledge of foreign languages could be a plus for a model as it could open up different perspectives. It is always good to remember to insert only foreign languages that you can speak quite fluently.

- Spanish – Good
- English – Good
Hobbies and Interests
All activities which, although not strictly related to modeling activities, can be defined as complementary and transversal, must be entered in the Hobbies and Interests section. This is a fairly informal section, but it is always good to remember to only include hobbies and interests that are somehow relevant to your career.

How to layout a model CV
When designing the model CV, always prefer a readable and clear font and layout the various sections of the document in such a way that they are understandable, using comfortable spacing. The secret to getting a talent scout to read the CV is to keep the information to a minimum, without overdoing the lengths and never exceeding two total pages. Finally, we recommend saving the document in PDF format to make it readable by any computer and operating system.
